Welcoming Baby Ronin into the world.

I think this experience has to have been one of the single most amazing experiences I have ever had. I can not concentrate on anything else until I share these images. One of my very best friends just gave birth to a healthy baby boy yesterday. I was there for support and to document the whole process. Linette and Kyle planned a home birth. It was a glorious setting to have a baby in. I was born at home as well and have known all my life how much my mother preferred the home birth experience over being in the hospital. Linette had a dula and three midwives in attendance. She was very well looked after.

I am so proud of Kyle. He was such a support to Linette through the whole thing.

A little relaxation and contemplation between contractions.

Kyle's watchful eye.

This is Linette insisting she could smile through a contraction.

I can hardly get through these without tearing up.

Such a support Linette had.

These midwives were prepared for anything.

Its amazing the point of transition when Linette got into the tub. The contractions were getting stronger and the warm bath provided some relief.

There's that support again!

Pushing through the worst of the contractions.

I can't even express the admiration I have for how Linette went through this whole birth.
She is such a strong woman.

The birth! Wow this happened so fast. Look at all those helping hands.
I cry every time I see this image. Yep tears right now.
Ronin Rosario 1:51 p.m.

Baby Ronin, belting out some cords here. UGH, hearing those first cry's was amazing.

Perfection
Some skin on skin with Poppi.

Getting checked out, all fingers and toes accounted for.

He's got a Kielinski head. :)
He was so calm, when not being prodded, look at those open eyes.

9 lbs 14 oz, soo close to 10lbs!

I actually got a lot of holding time between clean up and mom getting fixed up.
I am so thrilled to have been a part of this. Words can really not express how I feel for this family. Linette and Kyle did such an amazing job. I am happy that they are relaxing comfortably in their own home.

Ryder and his cousins, Moodybaby (plus big kids) Session

I'm combining two different sessions with these guys into one blog post! We did the first session back in November, it was a surprise Christmas present for the grandparents. The second session was with the grandparents since Ryders first birthday party was snowed out in December. We really wanted to get the grandparents and grandkids together. I get to see these guys on a regular basis nowadays, they are an awesome family. We always have a great time. Ryder is the only boy grandbaby in the family, you will see how much his grandpa loves him below.

I have to say this is one beautiful set of grandchildren.

We did individual photos of each cousin with Ryder.

I had to take some headshots of these girls. They are gorgeous. Their mom and dad will have their hands full as they get older, boys will be beating down their door I am sure!

I miss the fall! The colors were awesome.

Mother and son, such a great pair.

We are now into January. Little Ryder waking up from a nap.

I love these guys! What a great looking family.

I love this.

You can see the bond of grandpa and his grandson.

Everyone together!

Grandparents and grandchildren.

Its always a pleasure with you guys!

enjoy the slideshow

Amy's Belly Session

I had so much fun with these guys last month. I haven't seen them since Eve was an infant! She is so big now and was very excited to become a big sister!

(As always my belly images are shot on traditional black and white film. There is always an element of surprise and I love the grain texture! We did take some candids with the digital which there are some at the bottom of this post.)

Amy has the perfect belly.

Eve was such a great subject in conjunction with mom's belly.

Seriously, can't resist her.

Comparing bellies.

I think she needed a little front and center in preparation for a new sibling.

They have an image hanging in the background that is a mother holding her child, we wanted to give our own interpretation.

Heart melter!

So sweet! You can see Eve's baby pictures as well, she was so tiny last time I saw her.

I brought along my digital camera specifically for this purpose. We did a few photos of Eve in her new room.

I love this.
I hope you guys are doing well, can't wait to meet the new addition!
